Interview with Dr. Dre at Beats by Dre Store Opening night


Here is an interview with Dr. Dre at the Beats by Dre store opening night, with Fader magazine. Key points in the interview are:

  • Dr. Dre hope that his product will be second to Apple.
  • Goal for beats is to take over anything with a speaker.
  • Currently working with two new west coast rapper: Slim the Monster and Kendrick Lamar.
  • Plans on taking a break from music for awhile.
It is interesting that Dr. Dre did mention finishing his latest album Detox. Could this mean that its already done? Or that he doesn't plan on finishing it at all? Anyways at least we are getting a peek in to the future plan for Beats by Dre.
